Narendra Singh Tomar said, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is safeguarding farmers from unexpected crop loss. He said, a crop insurance mobile app is also made available, where farmers can get all information related to the scheme.

Under the PM-KISAN Scheme, a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to the eligible beneficiary farmers, payable in three equal 4-monthly installments of Rs 2000 each through direct benefit transfer.

With the push of a button, Prime Minister will enable the transfer of more than Rs 18,000 crores to more than 9 crores beneficiary farmer families. PM Modi will also have a conversation with farmers from six different States during the event.

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Modi wrote, "Today, six years ago, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was launched with an ambitious aim of banking the unbanked. This initiative has been a game-changer, serving as the foundation for many poverty alleviation initiatives, benefitting crores of people.

The Chief Minister also interacted with district administration officials of Saharanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Kannauj, and Hardoi districts through video conference.

"This month also as the lockdown has been extended, Delhi govt has decided to again deposit Rs 5,000 to provide them help," Delhi Labour Minister Gopal Rai said.

The total DBT amount disbursed has increased from 22 per cent in FY 2018-19 to 45 per cent in FY 2019-20, said the ministry.
