JMM

"In the upcoming Rajya Sabha election, the election will be held on 2 seats in Jharkhand. Shibu Soren to be the candidate on one of the seats," Hemant Soren told media.

JMM Legislators Champai Soren, Haji Hussain Ansari, Jagarnath Mahto, Mrs. Joba Manjhi, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur and Congress legislators Banna Gupta and Badal, are the seven new Cabinet ministers.

JMM fought the Assembly elections in alliance with the Congress party and Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) and got a comfortable majority with forty-seven seats in the 81-member house.

Soren won by a margin of 13,188 votes from the Dumka seat and from the Barhait assembly constituency by a margin of 25,740 votes.

Raghubar Das also congratulated JMM working president Hemant Soren for the victory of the alliance led by his party in the elections.

"We respect the mandate given by the people of Jharkhand. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the people for the opportunity given to BJP to serve the state for five years," tweeted Shah.

"Congratulations to HemantSoren Ji and the JMM-led alliance for the victory in the Jharkhand polls. Best wishes to them in serving the state," tweeted Prime Minister Modi.

For the first time, the Congress party has done what Pakistan has been doing for long. What can be more shameful than that? Will any Indian stage a demonstration outside any Indian embassy in other countries," asked Modi, while addressing an election rally here.

Polling began at 7.00 AM. It will end at 3 p.m. in 12 constituencies that are Naxal-affected. In the remaining five constituencies - Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Ramgarh and Barkattha - polling will continue till 5.00 PM.

PM Modi said: " Congress had no intention to develop Jharkhand. Even the money which used to come from Centre was misused. A state, which is rich in natural resources, has never been allowed to develop by these parties."
