At 10:15 am, the BSE S&P Sensex was up by 320 points or 1.04 per cent at 30,993 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 92 points or 1.02 per cent at 9,131.
"The fourth-quarter performance was marked by the emergence of Covid-19 pandemic and measures to curb its rapid spread," said the company in a statement.
All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the positive terrain with Nifty metal up by 2 per cent, auto by 1.2 per cent and financial service by 1 per cent.
Most sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the positive zone with Nifty metal up by 0.52 per cent, IT by 0.39 per cent and realty by 0.2 per cent.
Bharti Infratel gained by 3.5 per cent to Rs 257.10 per share while Tata Motors ticked up by 3 per cent. Private lenders ICICI Bank and Axis Bank showed gains of 1.4 per cent and 0.9 per cent.
Bharti Infratel lost by 5.5 per cent to Rs 250.80 per share. The other prominent losers were Bharti Airtel, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, Grasim and ONGC.
The MSCI's broadest index of Asia Pacific shares outside Japan added 0.1 per cent. The Shanghai Composite Index was up by 0.4 per cent, South Korea's KOSPI rose by 0.7 per cent and Japan's Nikkei was up by 0.4 per cent.
