On Friday, two unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kiloora area of Shopian district, police said.
The encounter, which began at about 8 am is still underway, said Kashmir Zone Police.
"One terrorist has been neutralised in the ongoing encounter. Operation underway," said Kashmir Zone Police. Police and security forces are carrying out the operation.

Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir's Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh said that nine Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorists were killed in encounter in Shopian.
Police and security forces are carrying out the operation. Further details are awaited.
The security forces had launched cordon and search operations which led to the exchange of fire between them and the terrorists, according to sources.
"Three terrorists eliminated in Jt Ops in Op Watchi (Shopian), affiliated proscribed terrorist outfit #HizbulMujahideen. Weapons & warlike stores recovered. Other details being ascertained," Chinar Corps of Indian Army tweeted.
