Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi who was among those detained by Mumbai Police on Saturday.

Priyanka said, "I know I will be held accountable for my past statements and my views and that how I came to this conclusion but I would like to say that this decision of joining Shiv Sena I have taken after a lot of thought."

Earlier in the day, Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote to Rahul Gandhi, said have resigned from all posts and the primary membership of the party.

As per reports, Priyanka Chaturvedi has resigned from Congress. Sources claim she tendered her resignation to party president Rahul Gandhi late last night.
