Apple launches 1st retail store in India, check products, services offered (See Pics)

New Delhi: Tech giant Apple launched its first store in India and it is located at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Apple BKC will also offer a special Today at Apple series, “Mumbai Rising,” which will be free sessions involving local artists and creatives, and will feature Apple products. The retail store will be open for customers from April 18, Tuesday.

Apple BKC is one of the most energy-efficient Apple Stores in the world, as it uses a solar array and no fossil fuels for store operations. The company claims that the store runs on 100 percent renewable energy.

Apple BKC is a well-crafted store with a triangular handcrafted timber ceiling and each tile is made from 408 pieces of timber. More than 450,000 individual timber elements used at the store were assembled in Delhi. The two stone walls at the entrance are sourced from Rajasthan.

The store has a 100-member team that can converse in about 20 languages.

Products and Services Offered

Today at Apple Series

The Mumbai store will have pretty much every Apple product ranging from an iPhone or Mac to Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Accessories like AirTag are also available at the store. The store also provides the Apple Pickup service, which allows customers to place an order online and pick up products at their convenience.

Some services, like Genius Bar, may not be available currently.

Apple BKC will open on April 18 at 11 am IST and apart from checking the products, customers can visit the store to download interactive custom wallpapers, listen to a curated Apple Music BKC Playlist, and Today at Apple sessions.

Apple will open a retail store in Saket, Delhi on April 20.
