Apple Scary Fast event confirmed: MacBooks and iMacs expected; know the date, time, and platform here

The title “Scary Fast” on Apple’s event invite suggests the firm will showcase a new M3 series Chipset with updated MacBooks and maybe iMacs.

New Delhi: Apple has announced that it will be releasing new MacBooks, iMacs, and other products during a special event on October 30.

The company’s rumoured preparations for the event have been put to rest by the official invitation sent out to attendees. The title “Scary Fast” on Apple’s event invite suggests the firm will showcase a new M3 series Chipset with updated MacBooks and maybe iMacs.

Although Apple has not confirmed the event’s purpose, many believe it will be a Mac Launch event. However, the event’s lineup has not been announced yet.

In terms of new products, a prior rumour stated that Apple might unveil a refreshed version of the 24-inch iMac at this event. It’s worth noting that the M1 processor will power the 24-inch iMac beginning in 2021, and that it will come in seven different colours. The maximum brightness of its 4.5K retina display is 500 nits.

Bloomberg’s renowned journalist Mark Gurman has hinted that a bigger Pro version of the iMac is in the future, with a release date in late 2024 or early 2025. But industry expert Ming-Chi Kuo has already predicted that the new 24-inch iMac will be released in the next year.

Mark Gurman had previously stated that Apple has been performing internal testing of a variety of Mac products, including an iMac, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, among others.

In addition, as noted in Gurman’s report, there is a line of thought that the new M3 chip, coupled with the new MacBooks and iMacs powered by the new Apple silicone, might be introduced.

Alongside the iMac, Apple is anticipated to release an updated version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, as well as a new M3-powered edition of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

However, Gurman’s report debunks rumours of any upcoming new iPad models from Apple this year. Instead, it is expected that new iPad models will be introduced by the firm in March of 2024.

This has all come from rumours and speculation, and an official confirmation from Apple has not been made yet, but that is likely to happen at the ‘Scary Fast’ event on October 30.

When and Where to Watch?

According to an invitation, the event will take place on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 5:00 PM PT (which is Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 5:30 AM IST). Apple’s website and YouTube channel will both be airing live coverage of the event.

This year has seen more product releases from Apple than ever before in a single year. The newest device operating systems, a new 15-inch MacBook Air, and the company’s first spatial computer, the Vision Pro, were all released in June. After then, on September 12, at the Wonderlust event, the Cupertino tech giant unveiled the iPhone 15 series and the new Apple Watches.

The unveiling of the new iMacs and MacBooks has Apple fans anticipating the “Scary Fast” event with much excitement.
