New Delhi: There are several dating apps out there that offer you a chance to match with a friend, companion, or someone even more special in just a matter of a few clicks on your PC or smartphone.
Although these attractive apps do help many young individuals get a perfect match for them, a significant number of people, who don’t fit into the conventional beauty norms of society, find themselves struggling to get attention on such platforms.
Recently, a Delhi-based software developer did a social experiment about the same and made a small tweak in his dating app’s bio to see how much it affected his chances of getting a match from the girls. He then shared the shocking result of his experiment on social media and the same has now sparked an internet debate amongst netizens.
Man attracts women by changing his bio on dating app
Uploading the shocking results of his experiment on the microblogging site Twitter (Now X), the guy named Aman claimed that all he did was change his height to 190 Cm (6.2 feet) and the same got 9 matches from women in just a single day.
He wrote, “Changed my height to 190cm on Bumble as a joke. Got 9 matches in a day. Nothing else in my profile was changed.” He further joked about the same and added, “I’ve now changed it back but I’ve realized, you’re not ugly, you’re not poor, you’re not unfunny, you’re just short.”

Aman’s post regarding his social experiment on Bumble instantly went viral on social media, garnering over 760K views in just a matter of two days.
While many took to the comment section to highlight the importance of height in men, others went on to share their own dating app experiences, revealing how they also managed to get attention on apps like Bumble by faking a thing or two about them in their profile’s bio.
One user wrote, “I don’t think it actually works lol, or maybe I am just too ugly. I am around 186 cm and never experienced this.” Another said, “Women like tall men, what’s the reason?”A third person added, “Kahan bekar me pickup lines pe focus kar rahe the batao.”
