New Delhi: American tech company Apple has started manufacturing its latest model ‘iPhone 13’ in India.

The move is sure to uplift its significance in the Indian market as well as the Indian government’s Make in India initiative.

With the recent announcement of producing the iPhone 12 in the country, Apple now manufactures all its latest models of the iPhone series in India.

“We are excited to begin making iPhone 13 — with its beautiful design, advanced camera systems for stunning photos and videos, and the incredible performance of the A15 Bionic chip — right here in India for our local customers,” said Apple in a statement.

The newest add-on iPhone 13 will be manufactured in Foxconn’s plant in Sriperumbudur near Chennai.

Interestingly, the decision of producing the latest model in the local Indian units shows the multinational company’s realization of its scope in the Indian markets.

Apple has seen a growth in demand for its smartphones in the last couple of years, especially through online and offline channels that offer products at lower than the market prices.
