New Delhi: In a grand scheme of plans, tech giant Google has unveiled elaborate plans for a ‘Startup Hub’ in collaboration with MeitY. The latest plans by Google aim to develop the Indian workforce for the upcoming surge in the AI sector.

India is a booming software market and as such proper training of the workforce will be an added boon for various IT companies like Google. Moreover, the new line of AI software that Google is set to launch in the Indian market, such as ‘Startup Hub’ will give a boost to the production of skilled labour required for the AI market.

Google has already plans to unlock the Gemini 1.5 Pro and the Gemma 2. Furthermore, in its ‘I/O Connect’, the company also unveiled a range of tools and programmes which were aimed at the Indian developers. Through its wide range of outreach programmes, Google hoped that there would be proper training for the Indian tech workforce.

Talking about the latest development plans from Google, Vice President Ambharish Kenghe was brimming with confidence and positivity. Ambharish remarked, “We’re committed to empowering Indian innovators to harness AI’s full potential…” Furthermore, the vice president remarked that as a company, Google is happy to partner with the Indian tech labour force.

Google has made many tech investments in India in recent years. These have revolved mostly around partnering with the leading tech universities like IISC and IITs as well as slashing the pricing for Indian markets.


Currently, the Google DeepMind India team is working on expanding Project Vaani which is a collaboration between Google and the IISC Bangalore. Likewise, many other upcoming updates are coming in the next few years like the IndicGenBench, Google Wallet APIs and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

Furthermore, the company has tailor-made a special price policy for the Google Maps Platform which is specific to the Indian market. The hope is that India sees the light of the AI revolution finally.
