Instagram tests new collaborative carousel feature which also allows your friends to contribute to a single post

New Delhi: Instagram is currently beta testing a new feature that will enable users to add photographs and videos to other users’ posts to create collaborative carousel posts.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced during a broadcast, and it seems that the new functionality allows users to put an “Add to post” button in the bottom left corner of the carousel post. Once the toggle is switched on, users may hit the button to add their preferred media to the post.

Users will have the ability to enable the option to allow followers to submit photographs and videos for inclusion in a carousel post before the post is published. However, for these submissions to become a part of the post, users will first need to approve them.

The new feature that Instagram has added is an innovative method to include friends and followers in the creative process of creating content. Users can vary their content, tell more complete stories, or make their articles more interactive and engaging if contributors are permitted to submit photographs and videos that are relevant to the topic of the original post.

Instagram is also testing a new feature that will let users replace their profile photo with a short, looping video they record and save in the app’s Notes section. It may be recorded as videos by clicking the camera icon next to the user’s profile image.
