New Delhi: With the highly anticipated launch of the iPhone 15 series just around the corner, Apple enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement. However, recent reports suggest that some of the new models may come with a price hike.
According to reputable analyst Tim Long, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are likely to see a significant increase in their price tags, while the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to maintain their affordability.
The upcoming iPhone 15 series is speculated to offer four models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Pro Ultra). Tim Long’s report indicates that the premium iPhone 15 Pro Max could see a $200 price increase compared to its predecessor, bringing its starting price to $1299 (approximately Rs 1,06,500). In contrast, the existing iPhone 14 Pro Max was initially priced at $1099 (approximately Rs 90,100).
The standard iPhone 15 Pro model is also expected to undergo a price increase, starting at $1099 (roughly Rs 90,100) compared to the $999 price tag of the iPhone 14 Pro.
However, Apple aims to offer more affordable options within the iPhone 15 series by maintaining the pricing of the standard models. The iPhone 15 is expected to start at $799 (roughly Rs 65,500), while the iPhone 15 Plus will begin at $899 (roughly Rs 73,700).
The price hikes for the Pro models can be attributed to the premium features and significant upgrades they are rumored to offer. Reports indicate that the iPhone 15 Pro models will boast titanium chassis, providing both enhanced durability and a touch of luxury. Additionally, an exciting new ‘Action’ button with revamped tasks is expected to enhance the overall user experience.
For photography enthusiasts, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to come equipped with a new periscope lens, offering 6x optical zoom support for capturing stunning shots.
