New Delhi: Reliance Jio has come up with the True 5G welcome offer which is available in major metropolitan cities in the country. A user gets unlimited 5G data at up to 1Gbps speeds and the eligibility includes recharge with a plan of Rs 239 or above. Jio has partnered with OnePlus to launch a fine 5G network in India.

1. Requirements:
A user needs a mobile phone which is compatible with 5G. Though most smartphones are coming with 5G compatibility, a user still must check for it. Another requirement for the welcome offer is the region. Jio True 5G is currently available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Pune and Nathdwara with the Jio welcome offer, while Jio True 5G has been launched in all 33 district headquarters of Gujarat.
2. Signing up:
A Jio user has to first go to the MyJio app and check for eligibility for the offer. To sign up, one requires a recharge with a plan of Rs 239 or above and the user will get an SMS or a Whatsapp text from Jio.
3. Enabling 5G:
To enable 5G on the phone, an Android user can go to Settings> Network and Internet> SIMs> Preferred Network Type. An iOS user has to go to Settings> Mobile Data> Mobile Data Options> Voice & Data. Switch on the 5G toggle to enable a high-speed internet network. The user will also see a separate 5G tab in the MyJio app that will give the information regarding the 5G data.
