New Delhi: Nothing, a London-based tech company started by Carl Pie is set to launch its first phone Nothing Phone 1 in the global market today. The event of lunch will be live-streamed by the company on its official website and YouTube channel at 8:30 PM IST in India. Nothing’s first phone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. The phone will carry an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Nothing Phone 1 specifications and features (expected)

Nothing Phone 1 can be said the first phone on the market with a transparent back panel. Nothing made it transparent at the rear to provide an LED notification system. Every time the user received a notification alert or call, the light glow to alert in different patterns.

Describing its mission in the market, the company says it is on a mission to remove barriers between people and technology.

The phone is tipped to launch with a 6.55-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The front and back panel is protected with Gorilla glass. It is likely to house a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup and could run on the Android 12 operating system.

Nothing Phone 1 price in India (expected)

The price of Nothing Phone 1 will be based on the configuration of RAM and storage you chose. It is believed that the phone will be available in the market between the price bracket of Rs 30,000-40,000. The variant of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage will cost roughly Rs 37,000, 40,300 and 44,300, respectively.

In India, the phone will be sold through the online shopping website, Flipkart.
