New Delhi: OnePlus is looking to introduce a brand new colour variant in its flagship smartphone variant- the 12R series. According to reports and leaks, the brand-new smartphone will be available in a new colour called Sunset Dune and will be available shortly. The Chinese tech brand has not yet officially launched the dates of the upcoming variant. OnePlus 12R’s new colour variant will join the Cool Blue and Iron Gray shades.
The Sunset Dune is expected to look like the OnePlus Ace 3’s Minsha Gold which is the Chinese variant of the same phone. News of the new variant of the OnePlus 12R was first posted on X (formerly Twitter). The specific details are however awaited so far.

OnePlus 12R- Price
The OnePlus 12R which was launched in January of this year was priced at Rs 39,999 for the base variant of 8GB+128GB storage variant. While the higher version of 12GB+256GB is expected to be priced at Rs 45,999. It is one of the best mid-range flagship smartphones available in the market with over-the-line specifications.
OnePlus 12R- Product Specifications
The OnePlus 12R runs on the latest OxygenOS 14 which is modeled on the latest Android 14. It has a display of a 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K. Moreover, the company has ensured that the beast is powered with an equally powerful chip. Therefore, the OnePlus 12R boasts of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset alongside 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The storage type is UFS 3.1 and can be extended up to 256GB.
The smartphone also has a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP camera comprising the Sony IMX890 sensor. Furthermore, it also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The optics at the front are as good as that in the back with a 16MP camera for selfies. Coming to the battery backup, the OnePlus 12R comes with a 5000mAh battery which can be quickly replenished using a 100W SuperVOOC charger.
