New Delhi: The OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable smartphone, will be unveiled today in Mumbai at a special event. Beginning at 7:30 PM, the event can be watched live on the company’s official YouTube account.
Keynote presentation at the “Open for Everything” event will be given by the firm, showcasing the event’s focus on the product’s features and capabilities. OnePlus claims that the compromises that afflict other foldable phones can be found nowhere in their first foldable phone.

Expected Features
The OnePlus Open is anticipated to have a dual-screen design. The internal screen, the primary display, may be 7.8 inches in size and provides 2K resolution at a refresh rate of 120 frames per second. The outside screen size is estimated at 6.31 inches. The refresh rate might be as high as 120 hertz.
It has also been speculated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset will be what drives the OnePlus Open. It’s probably going to use UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5x RAM.
According to rumours, the OnePlus Open has a huge circular camera module powered by cameras licenced from Hasselblad. According to 91Mobiles, the OnePlus One will include a camera cut into both the front and back panels of the screen.

In addition, OnePlus claims that its newest smartphone, OnePlus Open, is just as quick and fluid as its predecessors.
Images also show the smartphone with OnePlus’ signature Alert Slider. This Alert Slider will presumably be adapted so that it looks well on the foldable phone. The slider’s design and architecture have been optimised so that it can suit the new compact shape without compromising on usefulness.
When it comes to power, the foldable phone might ship with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging.
OxygenOS 13.1, based on Android 13, will come preinstalled on the newest foldable smartphone.

OnePlus has previously stated that the Open will have a new hinge mechanism manufactured from high-quality materials and comprised of just 69 parts. It will come preloaded with highly optimised third-party applications like Facebook, and the company has stated that the device will incorporate an alert slider, a distinctive feature of OnePlus smartphones.
The smartphone will presumably come in at least two colour options upon release and will have ingress protection to make it water-resistant.
Expected Price
The OnePlus Open, according to the source, would cost less than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in India. In India, the OnePlus Open might cost 1,39,999 INR. On October 27th, OnePlus is expected to hit its foldable smartphone.
At the launch event, OnePlus will provide further information about the phone, including the sale date and cost.
