New Delhi: PUBG: New State from the makers of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has now been officially launched in 200 countries including India. The new battle royal game is available to download via Google Play, while Apple’s iOS, game will be ready to install from November 12.
Following the ban of the PUBG game last year, this is the first PUBG branded game available in India to download. Earlier this year, its developer Krafton re-released PUBG Mobile as BGMI by incorporating several features to suit the Indian market. Previously, Krafton has announced its ties with China-based Tencent for the development of BGMI. It is yet unknown that whether Tencent has become a part of the development of PUBG: New State.
PUBG: New State bears the size of 1.4 GB, however, it differs from phone to phone. The game is free to download and requires Android version 6 or above. Besides, the app supports in-app purchases and the price varies from Rd 75 to Rs 8,900. Late last month, Krafton stated that the game is available in 17 different languages globally. Gamers on Android may face some trouble with the server as the developer said that it is “undergoing maintenance for two hours.”Also, no specific reason is given for the delay with the launch on iOS.
According to the official listing, the game is set in 2051 and features a “next-generation” battle royal experience for online gamers. It possesses all-new rendition technology with a new gunplay system. The game takes place on a new map known as Troi and is assured to bring forth modern weapons and vehicles like drones, deployable combat shields, and others. Considering the images, PUBG: New State looks like Call of Duty Warzone which is another battle royale game preferred by PC and console gamers. Also, the vibe is similar to Call of Duty Black Ops 3 or Black Ops 4. The new version will create a deeper experience of the overall PUBG Universe.
Further, PUBG: New State also aims on changing the formula for PUBG games as it will feature in-game weapon customisations which will allow players to design their weapons during the match. This feature is somewhat similar to Apex Legends’ weapon attachments.
