Realme 9i launched in India, 50-megapixel camera in phone costing Rs 15,000; know features & more

Realme has launched its new Realme 9i in the Indian market with a 50-megapixel primary Samsung sensor and a 16-megapixel Sony IM471 sensor to shoot selfies.

New Delhi: Realme has launched its new Realme 9i in the Indian market, under the price range of Rs 15,000. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs on Android 11. It houses a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and more.  However, the successor of the Realme 8i does not come with 5G facility.

Realme 9i Features and availability date:

The base version of the Realme 9i offers 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and the flagship version of the phone comes with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080*2,412 pixels. The display provides a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 90Hz refresh rate. The company has protected the display with a Dragon Trail Pro glass.

Realme 9i  is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary Samsung sensor, a 2-megapixel portrait shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfie lovers, it is loaded with a 16-megapixel Sony IM471 camera sensor.

One can purchase it from Flipkart, Realme.com, and offline retailers. The sale of the phone will start on January 22. However, it will only be available in Prism Black and Prism Blue colours.

Price and more specifications:

Under the hood, it is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that can be refilled within 70 minutes with the help of a 33W Dart charger. Moreover, it is loaded with a microSD card slot, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an accelerometer, ambient light, proximity sensor, and more. The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC is paired with an Adreno 610 GPU.

Targeting middle-class consumers, Realme has launched the basic version of Realme 9i at a cost of Rs 13,999. The flagship version of the phone has been priced at Rs 15,999.

Reportedly, the RAM of the phone can be extended up to 6GB with the help of Dynamic RAM Expansion support. However, the feature will be introduced following a software update.
