New Delhi: The official debut of the Redmi 12 5G in India has been set for August 1; the event will take place in the country’s capital, as announced on a dedicated webpage. Only the 4G variant of the Redmi 12 had been hinted at by the business before, but now we know that the 5G variant will also be coming to India.

The manufacturer has also released some general information regarding the phone. The smartphone will launch in three different colour options and include a triple camera configuration on the back for the Indian market. Promotional images of the upcoming Redmi 12 5G smartphone hint it will ship with MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. The Redmi 12 5G will be presented in three distinct colour options: Moonstone Silver, Jade Black, and Pastel Blue. A 50-megapixel main camera and a glass back panel are also other expected features.

In addition, the phone will have Redmi’s largest display to yet and will be encased in Crystal Glass. It has been reported that the Redmi 12 5G has a 6.79-inch Full HD+ display with a rapid 90Hz refresh rate and a sharp 1080 x 2400-pixel resolution. The device is said to have a MediaTek Helio G88 12nm CPU and a Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. According to the specs page, the smartphone will also include 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It seems from the current data and pictures that the right side will include the power button and volume rockers. It is anticipated that the power button would also function as a fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone, which runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14, will be sold on Amazon and the company’s website. We can expect the price to be around Rs. 9999 to 12999 but the official price will be revealed soon.
