New Delhi: At its recent Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in Seoul, Samsung introduced its latest line of smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 6 Series. The Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, both of which feature the brand’s signature rotating bezel, are the newest additions to the company’s line of smartwatches.

They have a Super AMOLED Always-On-Display that may be up to 1.5 inches in size. Samsung’s Series 6 Galaxy Watch is equipped with an Exynos W930 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Fast charging is supported by its up to 425mAh battery and its One UI 5 Watch operating system, which is based on Wear OS 4.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series’s feature set includes a comprehensive evaluation of Sleep Score Factors. It also includes Enhanced Sleep Coaching, Sleep Consistency, Sleep Messages, and a Sleep Animal Symbol. The Galaxy Watch 6 Series also has a new Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification function, which can identify AFib symptoms and tailor exercises to individual heart rates.

Besides the upgraded display, and updated health sensors, Galaxy Watch 6 Series has a selection of applications developed specifically for its hardware. It will include Audible, WhatsApp, Gmail, and Calendar applications, according to TM Roh, president, and head of mobile experience at Samsung.

Google and Meta have been working together to provide a special WhatsApp software to Wear OS-powered wearables ever since Google announced the partnership at its annual developers’ conference, I/O 2023. The two businesses followed through on their word earlier this month by releasing the software for compatible Android smartwatches. Now, Samsung and Google have revealed that later this year, Wear OS 4-powered smartwatches will gain a specialised Audible software that will allow users to listen to their favourite podcasts and audiobooks without having their smartphones handy.

Furthermore, the two firms announced that Gmail and Google Calendar applications would be coming to Wear OS 4-powered smartwatches in the autumn of this year, allowing users to check their calendar and RSVP to events directly from their Samsung Galaxy smartwatches in Gmail and reply to emails in Gmail.
Prices for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 range from INR 29,999 for the 40mm Bluetooth version to INR 36,999 for the 44mm LTE version. However, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic ranges in price from 36,999 for the 43mm Bluetooth version to 43,999 for the 47mm LTE version.
