Supermassive Blackhole sending powerful radiation, as it points directly at Earth: Scientist

According to the scientists, the galaxy was initially classified as a radio galaxy but they found that the space phenomena had rotated 90 degrees and is now pointing its centre towards Earth.

New Delhi: A team of international scientists has found a supermassive black hole in its center, after changing its direction and is now directly pointing towards the Earth. After this, Scientists have reclassified a galaxy, this galaxy is found 657 million light-years away from the earth and is named as PBC J2333.9-2343.

According to the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS), they have studied this galaxy as it showed peculiar properties. The hypothesis of this study shows that the relativistic jet of its supermassive black hole had changed its direction, and in order to confirm that idea they carried out a lot of observations.

They also detailed the change in their Study.

According to the scientists, the galaxy was initially classified as a radio galaxy but they found that the space phenomena had rotated 90 degrees and is now pointing its centre towards Earth.

Now this means that the galaxy is now a “blazar”, pointing at Earth.

According to RAS, Blazars are very high-energy objects which are considered to be one of the most powerful phenomena in the Universe.

At present, scientists are currently unsure about what caused the change in direction, while some astronomers believe that PBC J2333.9-2343 collided with another galaxy following which the direction was shifted.

Also. it is not sure how the direction of the black hole will affect the galaxy.
