New Delhi: Youtube recently blocked Elvish Yadav from its platform for 7 days. Yadav alleged that he was blocked for 7 days by YouTube because of the video he posted recently on exposing Dhruv Rathee.

“My video on Dhruv Rathee got demonetised then they mass reported my channel and boom.. 1 strike and 7 days ban. Yes this is how freedom of speech works here. #elvishwillrise”, he tweeted on Thursday.

He further wrote, “And for all my youtuber friends sorry. For all my “nationalist” youtubers aaj mere sath hora hai kal apke sath hoga (To all my ‘nationalist’ youtubers, what’s happening with me today, will happen to you tomorrow)”.

Wave of support for Elvish Yadav

Yadav have received outpouring support from Twitter users, while #elvishwillrise is currently trending on twitter.

BJP leader Tanjinder Pal Singh Bagga wrote, “shame on @Youtube #elvishwillrise”.

Last month Youtube created a similar controversy when it scrutinized content of popular Youtuber Carry Minati and Lakshay Chaudhary.
