New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has finally appointed Nitin Agarwal as the new Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF). The post was lying vacant for the past five months, after the retirement of then DG Pankaj Kumar Singh in December 2022. The Country’s prestigious Border Security force got its new DG after a late-night order by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Sunday. The country’s prestigious force is responsible for guarding the international border of India with Pakistan and Bangladesh. Talking about the new DG Nitin Agarwal, he is a 1989-batch IPS Officer of Kerala Cadre. He is currently working as the additional DG of operations at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
