New Delhi: Eid al-Fitr, popularly known as Eid, is one of the most prominent and most important Islamic festivals. Eid-al-Fitr, is celebrated every year across the globe with tremendous passion and fervour. Eid, marks the completion of Ramadan, the holy month in which the Muslim community observe fast for full one month.
When is Eid-al-Fitr in 2023?
Eid-al-Fitr or Eid mark the conclusion or in other word the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the first day of Shawwal. This year, Eid is expected to be celebrated on Friday (April 21) to (April 23) Sunday. However, the date of Eid in India and other places will totally depend on the sighting of the moon.

As date for Eid or Eid-al Fitr 2023 will totally depend on the sighting of the first moon of Shawwal. But it is believed that this year Eid-al Fitr 2023 is likely to be observed on Friday (April 21) to (April 23) Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kerala will be celebrating Eid, one day before than other states in India. The reason behind this is that Kerala follows the date of Eid-al-Fitr is determined by the moon’s sighting in Saudi Arabia.
This means that Kerala will be celebrating Eid-al-Fitr on April 21 this year.
