New Delhi: Auto Expo, the yearly exhibition to showcase upcoming & swanky models of top automobile companies, is back with a bang, after a gap of 3 years.

While the curiosity & excitement among car & bike lovers is palpable, the Auto Expo is likely to garner maximum attention for a quick view of Electric Vehicles, getting ready to ply on the roads & also create a disruption in the auto markets.

Electric vehicles have already caught the imagination of common people and are creating waves before launch. Lot many brands are likely to unveil their newly developed designs of the electric model.

With electric cars getting ready for a foray in the Indian auto market, we take a look at 5 upcoming Electric Vehicles to be showcased at the Auto Expo:

1) Tata Punch EV

car -- Hyundai Ioniq 5   Tata Punch EV by Tata Motors is the most anticipated car in the Electric Vehicle segment and is likely to entice many car lovers with its sharp look & features. This is just one of the EVs from Tata Motors, that will be put on display here. Tata Safari & Harrier are also likely to bring forward their EV models at the exhibition.

2) Kia EV9 Concept

Kia’s EV9 Concept is another electric vehicle that will take centrestage at the Expo. The brand, with its wide fleet of SUVs is likely to showcase its electric SUV this year. It’s electric SUV has often been spotted in foreign markets but its launch in Indian market is unlikely anytime soon.

3) Maruti Suzuki EV

Maurit Suzuki, the highest selling brands in the country may have missed the bus on EV segment but it has announced making its electric SUV public soon. It is likely to showcase its EV SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2023, however, first vehicle roll-out is likely only by early 2025.

4) Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai, being one of the highest-selling brand, was apparently the first brand to launch its four-wheeler electric vehicle in the country, however, at that time it didn’t find any takers. It’s Kona Electric car failed to register good numbers. However, with EVs in the rage, the company is set to re-enter the Indian electric vehicle segment again with Ioniq 5 launch.
