New Delhi: At the Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) unveiled two brand-new SUVs, the FRONX and JIMNY.
The much-anticipated iconic off-roader Jimny, which was first introduced in international markets in 1970, will end up making its India debut in a 5-door configuration. The SUV has broken preconceptions across the world due to its distinctive design and all-terrain capacity, which is powered by Suzuki’s ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) technology. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door will now be available in India via the NEXA premium dealership network.
The JIMNY (5-door) was revealed to the globe today, and it will be available first in India, accompanied by Suzuki’s global markets. The JIMNY is based on four off-road necessities: ample body angles, a ladder frame chassis, a 3-link rigid axle suspension, and ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) including low-range transfer gear (4L mode). ALLGRIP PRO provides the extreme off-road capability to satisfy the driver’s adventurous spirit.
The rugged Jimny has a squared body structure for strong body characteristics thanks to its body-on-frame design. Classic key features from the legendary Suzuki JIMNY include the clamshell bonnet, vertical slits in the front grille, and iconic round headlamps.
This JIMNY will be offered in seven different colours, including five monotone palettes and two dual-tone alternatives. It has the world-recognised Kinetic Yellow colour, which was created to make it stand out in bad weather.
