Auto Expo 2023: Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark made debut in new editions

Although the company has already released the Dark editions of the two SUVs earlier in the global market, these “Red” are something new to experience.

New Delhi: In the 16th edition of Auto Expo 2023, Tata has unveiled the ‘Red’ Dark editions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs.

Although the company has already released the Dark editions of the two SUVs earlier in the global market, these “Red” are something new to experience.

Such a latest edition brings a bigger, enhanced touchscreen and ADAS technology to the Harrier and Safari lineups, as well as characteristics that will almost certainly be integrated into standard models. The Harrier and Safari Red Dark editions will be available shortly this year, according to the carmaker.

“Red” edition SUVs with ADAS tech:

ADAS (Advanced drive-assistance system) technology is collective technology that assists drivers in the smooth functioning of the vehicle. The upcoming new SUVs have these technologies that include forward collision alert, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), traffic sign recognition, six airbags, and lane assist.

Other significant features:

The carmaker will now provide these new SUVs with an improved infotainment system. It also offers a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and JBL sound system with a nine-speaker. Although the regular models have semi-digital instrument clusters, the new cars will have full-digital ones including a 360-degree camera.

Here is what the Interior will look like:

Inside, some other characteristics are including conditioned front seats and an electronically controlled driver’s seat with memory retention. The three-row Safari also has an operated front passenger seat with a ‘Boss’ configuration that allows the passenger behind to move the seat forward, an air conditioning function for the second row, and lighting effects around the wide-angle sunroof.

Changes in the appearance and exterior part:

Unlike the older versions, the new ones will have a slightly different shade of ‘Oberon Black’, even though the automaker makes sure it is in black pallets.  Inside, it has a quilted pattern in ‘Carnelian’ red pallete as the name suggests. It also has grey trim on the dashboard, grab handles with leatherette red, and a steering wheel with piano black insertion.

Tata has revealed that perhaps the Harrier and Safari Red Dark editions will now be released in the year, however, no specific date has been announced.
