New Delhi: Kia is all set to launch a premium EV model EV6 in India on Thursday, June 2. EV6 is the much anticipated and the first electric vehicle of Kia in India. With Kia having previously launched Seltos, Sonet, Carnival, and Carens, this makes it the fifth model by the firm in the Indian market. EV6 will be in the league with Volvo XC40 Recharge and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Kia EV6 Key Features and Specifications

Kia EV6 will be available in two variants, namely GT and GT-Line AWD. A significant difference between the two is that the GT variant has a maximum output of 229 hp and 350 Nm torque, while GT-Line AWD is the more powerful version, capable of a maximum output of 347 hp and 605 Nm torque.

The model will have a 12.3″ curved touchscreen navigation and a 12.3″ curved driver display screen. It will have a wireless charging system. The roomy dimensions of the model also offer an electric sunroof.

Safety features equipped in the model are its key features. Rear-cross Traffic Avoidance Assist (RCTA), Safe Exist Assist (SEA), and Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA) come with 8 airbags in Kia EV6. The car will come with a 77.4 kWh battery and according to the WLTP cycle, it will offer about 528 km on a single charge. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.

Body Dimensions and Colors

The total length of the car will be 4695 mm while the width being 1890 mm. The height that the car offers is 1550 mm. EV6 will be available in five body colors, namely, moonscape, snow white pearl, runway red, aurora black pearl and yatch blue.

Kia EV6 pricing in India

Kia is offering the vehicle in India as Completely Built-up Unit (CBU). The firm will be selling only 100 units of EV6 this year. The Kia EV6 ex-showroom price in India is estimated to be around Rs. 60 lakh.
