New Delhi: Jeep has postponed their launch of the Wrangler SUV to March 17 from March 15. Earlier, Wrangler was fully imported but now it will be assembled locally. The famous off-roader’s manufacturing will be done at Jeep’s Ranjangaon plant.

There will be two variants in Jeep Wrangler- Rubicon and Sahara. The Wrangler which was imported earlier used to come with a 2.0 litre turbo-petrol engine that produced 269PS and 400 Nm, paired with an eight-speed torque automatic converter. There could be some chances of Jeep offering 2.2 litre diesel engines with their India-made production. Wrangler will be coming with a 4WD drive-train and both the axles will be having differential locking.
