Maruti Suzuki launches compact Fronx SUV, check models, accessories & price range
The SUV was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 in January and the automobile company has begun with the bookings with a minimum token amount.
New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki launched a new compact SUV Fronx which comes in a similar range and design to Maruti’s Baleno. The SUV was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 in January and the automobile company has begun with the bookings with a minimum token amount. Fronx is available in five models, namely, Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha.
Fronx comes with the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, which was used by the firm in Baleno RS back in 2017. The SUV is available in seven colours, including, Arctic White, Bluish Black, Celestial Blue, and Grandeur Grey, with dual-tone options in Opulent Red, Earthern Brown, and Splendid Silver.
The new SUV will compete in the market with Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet and Maruti Suzuki’s own Brezza.
Design and accessories
Fronx has some elements in the design inspired by Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara and Baleno. What is different is the 17-inch multi-spoke alloys that are unique to Fronx among the automobile firm’s SUVs. Fronx has the dimensions- 3,995mm length, 1,550mm height and 1,765mm width.
Fronx SUV comes with a 9-inch touchscreen and physical controls for the HVAC system like other cars by Maruti Suzuki. Other interior features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heads-up display, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, and 6 airbags.
The SUV begins with the Sigma model with 1.2 Petrol MT coming at Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The Delta and Delta+ models come with both 1.2 Petrol MT and 1.2 Petrol AMT while Delta+ is also available in 1.0 Turbo MT. Zeta, Alpha and Alpha DT come in both 1.0 Turbo MT and 1.0 Turbo AT. The Alpha DT with 1.0 Turbo AT is the costliest model and comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.14 lakh.
Customers can book Fronx with a token price of Rs 11,000.
