New Royal Enfield catches fire, explodes outside temple in Andhra Pradesh (VIDEO)

The people were shocked after witnessing that a bike suddenly caught fire, following which its petrol tank exploded.

New Delhi: A royal Enfield suddenly caught fire and blasted the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, the bike was new and was parked outside a temple. A video of the incident is going around social media where it is shown that in the broad daylight, amidst a whole lot of people on the road, suddenly a fire broke out, and then it exploded.

Ravichandra, the owner of the motorcycle drove non-stop from Mysuru (about 387 km away) to reach the Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy temple in the Guntakal Mandal after buying this new vehicle.

The bike caught fire soon after the man entered the temple.

The video showed that the bike was placed on one side of the road and there were many people around. The people were shocked after witnessing that a bike suddenly caught fire, following which its petrol tank exploded. The locals extinguished the flame by pouring water on the vehicle.

However, the reason for such an incident is yet unknown, reported by local media. Besides, there were no losses of life due to the incident.

This can be considered to be one of the rare incidents, where a Royal Enfield bike, also called Bullet which runs on petrol, catches fire.

Moreover, a few days ago, an electric scooter made by Hyderabad startup Pure EV caught fire near Chennai, raising concerns over the safety of EVs.

The incident happened near Mathur toll plaza in Manjampakkam, and went viral on social media. The video showed plumes of smoke rising from the scooter.
