After record hike in Petrol, diesel prices; cooking gas also gets costlier… check rates here

The hike in LPG price comes at a time when petrol and diesel rates in the country are also increasing sharply. Both essential fuels are now retailing at an all-time high.

New Delhi: Starting this week, you will have to shell out more money for the 14.2kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders. The prices of LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 50 per unit and comes in effect from today.

As per new prices effective from Feb 15, one needs to pay Rs 769 for 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi.

Petrol and diesel prices have gone up in the national capital and stood at Rs 88.99 per litre and Rs 79.35 per litre, respectively on Monday. This is the second increase in the prices of cooking gas in February. Before this, prices of non-subsidised LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs 25 per cylinder in metro cities on February 4.

Subsidised LPG with effect from midnight tonight will cost Rs 493.55 in New Delhi, a statement issued by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said.

The hike in LPG price comes at a time when petrol and diesel rates in the country are also increasing sharply. Both essential fuels are now retailing at an all-time high.

Petrol prices in Metro cities

Petrol and diesel prices continued their upward momentum across the country and inched to fresh new highs on Monday, February 15, 2021. In the national capital, the price of petrol was hiked by 26 paise a litre, while diesel got dearer by 29 paise.

Following today’s hike, petrol now costs Rs 88.99 a litre in the national capital while diesel is available for Rs 79.35. In Mumbai, petrol price now stands at Rs 95.46 while diesel is retailing at Rs 86.34. The fuel prices are presently retailing at their record highs in the country.

In Chennai, automobile owners shell out Rs 91.19 per litre and Rs 84.44 per litre of petrol and diesel.

The prices in Kolkata reach Rs 90.25 per litre for petrol and Rs 82.94 per litre for diesel.
