New Delhi: Presenting the final full Budget of NDA 2.0 government on wednesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman listed 7 priorities & thrust areas on which the Centre has set its sights on.

Clubbed under ‘Saptrishi Yojana’, these 7 areas represent the core of government’s focus. Over the years, with increased allocation of funds & enhanced supervision, these areas will grow & provide employment to thousands of people.

Reaching Last Mile
Infrastructure & Development
Unleashing Potential
Green Growth
Youth power
Financial Sector

Finance Minister said that the government hopes to develop a technology-driven and knowledge-based economy, something that will define the emerging strength of the country. This will be aided by strong public finances and a robust financial sector and this can be achieved by “janbhagidari” i.e. “sabka saath, sabka prayaas”.

For harnessing the potential of tourism sector, the government has taken it up under a mission mode and effective steps are being undertaken to develop it, with active participation of states and also under the PPP model.

Agriculture budget outlay has been hiked to Rs 20 lakh crore, with increased emphasis on dairy, fisheries & animal husbandry. For propping up the fisheries sector, a sub-scheme of Rs 6,000 crore will be launched.
