Crypto price today: Bitcoin, Ethereum climbs; Tether down marginally

Bitcoin climbed by 1.93%  and was trading at $44.160.94 while Ethereum rose by 3.86% and was trading at $3,195.26 in the past 24 hours.

New Delhi: The global cryptocurrency market cap has reached $2.11 trillion with a hike of 1.6% in the last 24 hours on Thursday, according to CoinGecko.

The trading volumes of total cryptocurrency were recorded at $87.3 Billion in the past 24 hours. The market dominance of Bitcoin and Ethereum was recorded at 39.6% and 18.1%, respectively.

On Thursday, Bitcoin climbed by 1.93%  and was trading at $44.160.94 while Ethereum rose by 3.86% and was trading at $3,195.26 in the past 24 hours.

In rupee terms, Bitcoin registered a jump of 1.72% to reach 34,65,197. The world’s second-biggest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization climbed by 3.41% and was trading at 2,51,062.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) rose by 4.18% to reach at Rs 0.002563 in the past 24 hours, followed by Axie (AXS) which climbed by 3.09% to Rs 5,210, XRP up by 2.49%  to Rs 68, Binance Coin (BNB) rose by 2.11% to Rs 33,250 and Pokadot (DOT) By 1.59% to Rs 1,715.80.

Furthermore, Avalanche (AVAX) up by 1.76% at Rs  7,053, followed by Solana which jumped by 1.28% at Rs 8,860, Dogecoin up by 0.98% at Rs 12.410, Litecoin up by 0.43% at Rs 10,897, and Cardano (ADA) climbed to Rs 93 with the jump of 0.12%.

On the other hand, Tether was trading Rs 78 due to a loss of 0.06%.

Besides, there is speculation among the public regarding the validity of cryptocurrencies in India since RBI announced that it has been planning to launch its digital currency in India.

In the latest development, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das on Thursday announced that the RBI Digital Rupee will be launched in the year 2022-23.

He further added that there will be no difference between Digital Rupee and the normal rupee.
