New Delhi: Forbes’ released its annual world’s billionaires list on Tuesday. This year’s list includes record-breaking 2,755 billionaires, with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos securing the top spot for the fourth year in a row.
The ranks of the ultra-wealthy are expanded even after a year that was dominated by coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 shook world economies and threatened the livelihoods of people across the globe.
The combined worth of this year’s billionaires grew to $13.1 trillion (roughly Rs. 9,70,22,800 crores) increasing from last year’s $8 trillion (roughly Rs. 5,92,50,560 crores) said the media sources.
