Indian tycoon Gautam Adani becomes top gainer this year so far, beats Bezos and Musk

Adani has been rapidly expanding his business by adding data centers, coal mines, ports and airports in India

New Delhi: According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gautam Adani gained $16.2 billion in 2021 to reach the mark of $50 billion. In the process he defeated both Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. Bezos and Musk have fought each other this year to become the world’s richest man.

Share prices of all Adani enterprises except for one increased by a margin of 50%. The surge in wealth dwarfed the $8.1 billion added by the richest person in Asia, Mukesh Ambani. Adani has now become 26th richest man in the world.
