New Delhi: Nita and Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son Akash Ambani and wife Shloka Ambani have announced the birth of a baby boy.
“Nita and Mukesh Ambani are delighted to become grandparents for the first time, as they welcomed the great grandson of Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani. Shloka and Akash Ambani became proud parents of a baby boy today in Mumbai. Both mother and son are doing well. The new arrival has brought immense joy to the Mehta and Ambani families,” said an Ambani spokesperson.
The couple tied the knot in March last year in a star-studded affair in Mumbai. The wedding ceremony and ensuing celebrations were attended by politicians, film stars, businessmen and cricketers.
Shloka turned bride in a red lehenga, while the groom and his family were all dressed in shades pink.
Bollywood celebrities including Aamir Khan and his wife, actor Jackie Shroff and Manish Malhotra, as well as international dignitaries like former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and his wife Yoo Soon-taek and former British PM Tony Blair and his wife Cherie Blair attended the wedding festivities.
