New Delhi: In what augurs well for India’s fight against Covid-19, the number of new Corona+ cases have witnessed a slump in last 24 hours. In fact, the number suggests weakest growth of Corona cases, since the time India crossed 100 cases.

From Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 pm, only 6% growth was recorded indicating that the lockdown and nation’s collective effort is yielding results.

However, it may be too early to derive any conclusive report but the 6% growth in new Covid-19 cases is enough to inspire Corona warriors and those working on the frontline.

Not long ago, official records showed decline in doubling of Corona cases. In March, when Corona cases were doubling in about 3-4 days, it recently reduced to approx 7 days, again a positive sign.

However, the government hasn’t let its guards down. Monitoring of hotspots and containment areas is being done closely while steps being taken to bring normalcy to areas where new cases have not showed up.

Yesterday, the government exempted small shops in residential areas from the Lockdown guidelines, thus allowing their operation with 50% staff and social distancing guidelines.
