Action Covid Team (ACT) to collaborate with Vijay Rupani govt, to give Rs 100 crore for figth against Coronavirus

Action Covid Team (ACT) members participated in a video conferencing under the chairmanship of Vijay Rupani. The purpose was to create awareness about ACT and to actively engage with state government to fight global pandemic of Covid-19.

New Delhi: Start ups have come forward to extend helping hand in the fight against Covid-19. A fund worth Rs 100 crore has been created by India’s start-up community to give wings to ideas that could combat COVID-19 with immediate effect. Under this initiative, an integrated solution will be offered to governments to fight COVID-19.

This includes Monitoring/Contact Tracing, IVR based telemedicine, Testing & Detection, Personal Protective Equipment, ICU Augmentation and Mental Wellness.

Eminent start-ups of the country have joined hands together under the umbrella body of ACT (Action Covid Team) in this initiative. ACT members participated in a video conferencing under the chairmanship of Mr. Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister of Gujarat.

The purpose of the VC was to create awareness about ACT and to actively engage with state government to fight global pandemic of Covid-19 through initiative called ACT. Mr. MK Das, Principal Secretary to CM was also present. It is decided that total grant worth Rs 100 crore will be extended to select start-ups and other companies who are playing vital role in fighting Covid -19.

Most significantly, these companies provide various kinds of products and services which include RT PCR testing kits, tracking and testing solutions, PPE suits, telemedicine etc. Suraj Mehta from KPMG put forward vision and roadmap of the initiative. He was joined by eminent ACT team members like Ms Vani Kola MD Kalaari capital, Mr. Rajan Anandam, MD Sequoia capital, Mr Pradeep Udhas Managing Partner KPMG in India, Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Co founder Urban company, Mohit Bhain partner KPMG, Sonal Vaghela, Director KPMG, Darshit Vora, Kalaari Capital, Amrith Menon KPMG India. This initiative is supported by KPMG india.

ACT - Vijay Rupani -

This initiative calls for integration of Bharat Health Stack into Aarogya Setu. Bharat health stack is an industry-wide initiative with the capacity to enable 20 lakh+ teleconsultations per day and augment capacity of existing healthcare infrastructure in India. This initiative connects 1 lakh + doctors pan India and facilitates all major vernacular languages.

This Covid response is a not-for-profit collective initiative bridged together by three mental health organizations, Mind Piper, I Am and Sahay from Sochara. It has support of organizations such as UnLtd India, Sambandh Health Foundation, Pravah, CYC, SSE India, TYCIA and many more.

We will implement our COVID plan with collaboration from Government of Gujarat. Gujarat Government is known for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. ACT will also provide extensive support to 5 states which includes Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
