Gujarat takes big strides in containing Covid-19, patient discharge rate improves further to 39%

Vijay Rupani-led Gujarat govt has been taking big strides in tackling Coronavirus, as the numbers speak for themselves.

New Delhi: Despite three phases of nation-wide lockdown, the Covid-19 pandemic continues to spread across the country, ticking up the numbers on daily basis. About 3,000 fresh cases are being reported daily, however India has managed to restrict the fatality rate much lower as compared to Western nations.

Leading the race against Coronavirus pandemic is Vijay Rupani-led Gujarat govt. It has been making big strides in tackling Coronavirus, as the numbers speak for themselves.

Gujarat has further improved its patient discharge rate from the Covid hospitals. And, its much better than the national average. Even the global recovery rate fails to match up to Gujarat numbers.

As per govt data available (May 14), the recovery rate in Gujarat stood at 39.13% much ahead of the national average which stood at 34.06%. Global recovery is 37.64%, which is 2% lower than the BJP-ruled Gujarat.

Till now, more than 3.750 Corona positive patients have been treated and discharged from hospitals in the state.

Other states like West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra fare much poorly in recovery rate while Punjab’s record is utterly worrisome at just 11.52%.
