With Coronavirus count at 1 lakh in 64 days, India fares much better than US, UK, Italy & others

New Delhi: The nation-wide tally of Coronavirus cases has finally breached 1 lakh mark in India with fresh cases being reported in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and other states . Yesterday, India recorded biggest single-day jump with over 5,000 new Covid-19 cases. Till now, more than 3,000 people have died due to Coronavirus.

Despite all these figures, India has fared much better than the Western affluent nations like US, Italy, France, Germany and Spain. India has managed to control the pandemic much better than the Western counterparts. The official data by Ministry of Health is a testimony of India’s swift and efficient Covid response.

Global powers breach 1 lakh mark in half-time than India

India registered 1 lakh Corona cases in 64 days, however countries like US and Italy saw the same surge in just 25 and 36 days despite being much more technologically advanced and well-equipped with medical facilities. Similary, United Kingdom also clocked its 1 lakh Covid-19 cases in mere 42 days.

In France, Covid-19 breached 1 lakh mark in 39 days while Germany saw it coming in just 35 days. Spain logged the same 1 lakh figure in even lesser time i.e. 30 days. On a comparative scale, these nations breached 1 lakh mark in almost half time as compared to India.
