New Delhi: Teachers and students share a good bond. Teachers motivate students to become better people, they guide us at every stage of life.
After parents, they are the ones who show us the right path.
Students are usually seen doing notorious things which entertain the class and sometimes they act in such a way which disturbs the whole class.
We all have bunked the classes when we were in schools and colleges but never thought what can be the impact of mass bunk.
An incident has got viral in which a Hindi professor from Bihar, Lallan Kumar returned his two years and nine months’ worth of salary, ₹23.8 lakh, his total earning since joining the job in September 2019 as no student turned up for a class for 33 months and his conscience did not allow him to take the money without teaching.
Lallan also said, “When I had joined, I was not posted to a college where I could teach postgraduate classes. Those with lower ranks (in the selection process) got those postings. Here, the students never show up”.
Manoj Kumar, principal of the Nitisheswar College reported that the class was disrupted because of the pandemic for two years. “He should’ve told me directly if he wanted a transfer”
University has taken note of it, RK Thakur, Vice-Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar. University claims that professor Kumar is just upset about his transfer demand.
