New Delhi: Several instances have proved the deteriorating quality of education at schools. Such an incident again showed up when a video of two teachers teaching two different subjects simultaneously to the same class. The incident happened in a school in Bihar.
The video has gone viral for a very specific reason. The video shows one teacher teaching Hindi while another teacher teaching Urdu to the same class at the same time on the same blackboard. The classroom seems to be in utter chaos as the children are hardly listening to the lecture, while a senior teacher is seen pacifying them by banging a stick on the desk.

The news agency, ANI has identified the teacher teaching Hindi in the video as Kumari Priyanka. “The Urdu Primary School was shifted to our school by Education Dept in 2017. Teachers teach both Hindi and Urdu in one classroom,” she told ANI. Further, she elaborated that Hindi is taught on one half of the blackboard while Urdu on another half, simultaneously by another teacher. “Our school does not have enough classrooms and this is the reason we teach students in a single room.”
The activity has taken place in Adarsh Middle School in Katihar, Bihar. ANI got in touch with the District Education Officer, Kameshwar Gupta who remarked about the situation stating, “If the enrollment of students in the Adarsh Middle School is less, then one room will be given to Urdu Primary School. It is not good if children of different classes are being taught on the same blackboard in the same room.”
