New Delhi: Anti-Brahmin slogans were written on the walls of the Jawahar Lal Nehru University’s campus building on Thursday (December 1).
Students claimed that the walls in the School of International Studies II building were vandalised with slogans against the Brahmin and Baniya communities.
Some of the slogans raised on the walls of JNU read “There Will Be Blood,” “Brahmins Leave The Campus,” “Brahmin Bharat Chhodo,” and “Brahmino-Baniyas, we are coming for you! We will avenge,” quoted PTI.
Soon hashtag JNU, Jawahar Lal Nehru University started trending on social media and users condemned the act.
The hashtag Brahmins Lives Matter also started trending in support of the upper caste.
Some social media users demanded strict actions against all such acts.
