New Delhi: Several candidates for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG, were unable to attempt the exam on August 4 and 5. They are confused about their revised exam dates as the admit card on the portal is not showing any further updates. However, the exams that were rescheduled will be held on August 24, 25, and 26 as per an NTA official.
The candidates were alleging on social media that their exam dates have not been revised in the admit cards available on the NTA portal. Many aspirants have to suffer problems due to the chaos in the CUET exams as they got to know about the rescheduling of the exams after they reached the examination centres. This led to an outrage on social media.
An NTA official told The Indian Express that the exams will be held between August 24 to 26, while the students who had individual grievances and wanted a date concession will have to appear on August 30. The updated admit cards for these candidates are also likely to be released on August 21. The admit cards will be available on http://cuet.samarth.ac.in.
On August 4, the NTA had to cancel the second slot of the day 1 exam of CUET UG due to some technical issues with the server. “The question paper for the second shift of the examination could only be uploaded at 5 pm and the download at 489 centres could start at 5:25 pm, while the exam was scheduled to begin from 3 pm,” NTA officials told. The same problem continued on August 5 too and some centres suffered the glitch in other phases too.
