New Delhi: Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala has proven the phrase age is just a number absolutely right after he passed his class 10 and class 12 exams at the age of 87. He not only passed the exam but also secured the first division.

Chautala received his mark sheet from the state education department on the morning of May 10. The department handed over the mark sheet to Chautala when the Indian National Lok Dal chief arrived as a chief guest at the venue to attend the 428th birth anniversary of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap.

It is reported that Chautala take the test of class 10 exam in 2019 but he could not write the English paper. Owing to this the state board withholds his class 12 result.

However, the INLD leader reappeared for the exam in August 2021, securing 88 per cent.

After the news came to the media reports, ‘Dasvi’ actor Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to congratulate the former CM.

Abhishek wrote in his tweet, ”Badhai!! #Dasvi.”

Notably, the actor’s movie ‘Dasvi’ was released in theaters on April 7 in the Hindi language. In the film, Bachchan against Nimrat Kaur has played the role of an uneducated politician who decided to study for high school in jail.

Kaur also acclaimed Chautala, ”Absolutely marvellous!! Age is truly only a digit or two.”

It is important to note that Chautala was released from Tihar Jail in July, almost a month ahead of his exam date.

He served a 10-year prison term in a teacher recruitment scam case.
