Tricia Eleogram and her sister, both Americans living in Memphis, Tennessee, are credited with creating the concept of Sisters Day. Sisters’ Day has been celebrated annually since 1996. Eleogram’s objective, in creating this special day, was to increase awareness of and appreciation for the bonds of sisterhood. Among her motivations for establishing this day was a desire to celebrate the sisters and spread the kind-heartedness they exemplified.
