New Delhi: National Institute Ranking Framework released its ranking for the year 2023 for 13 categories on Monday.
1. Miranda House, Delhi
Delhi University’s women’s only college, Miranda House, has once again topped the list of India’s best colleges. The premier women’s institute has held the numero uno spot for the past 7 years, i.e. 2017-2023.
2. Hindu College, Delhi
Another top institute now a constituent of Delhi University, Hindu College, has managed to bag the 2nd spot once again. In the past 6 years, Hindu College has been a regular in the NIRF, ranking from 2nd to 9th in the list.
3. Presidency College, Chennai
This arts, law, and science college was established in 1840 as a preparatory school. Presidency College offers UG and PG courses.
4. PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore
PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore is an esteemed arts and science college for women only. Established in 1963, it has brilliantly abided by its motto of empowering women through education.
5. St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata
With its foundational beginnings in 1860, St. Xavier’s College was founded by the Society of Jesus. It offers UG and PG courses in Business, Science, Arts, and Commerce.
6. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Delhi
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College is one of the most picturesque colleges of Delhi University. It was established in 1959 by Shri Atma Ram, a philanthropist from Rawalpindi.
7. Loyola College, Chennai
Yet another college on the ranking list founded by the Society of Jesus, Loyola College, was established with the motto of providing educational opportunities to all, irrespective of caste and creed.
8. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandire, Howrah
Also known as Rahara VC College, it has retained itself on the national list for the past 6 years.
9. Kirori Mal College, Delhi University
Kirori Mal is one of the best Delhi University institutes, known for its rich art, theater and music excellence.
10. Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi
Lady Shri Ram College, affiliated with Delhi University, is known for its robust commerce academic excellence.
