Who is Ishita Kishore, DU alumnus who topped UPSC 2022?

New Delhi:  The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the UPSC CSE 2022 final result on Tuesday. Ishita Kishore triumphed in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022 with AIR 1.

Ishita Kishore holds a bachelor’s degree in economics. She graduated from Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce. She then worked in risk advice for Ernst & Young. She has participated in sports and is quite active in the field.

Ishita holds a BA Honours degree in Economics and Political Science, with an emphasis on economics. Ishita attended the Global Millennium Summit in Dubai in 2017 while acting as an Indo-China Youth representative. As an all-rounder student throughout her school career, Ishita feels that there are three criteria that enable an aspirant to be an all-rounder as a civil servant. First and foremost, the capacity to work as part of a team is required. Second, leadership qualities and the capacity to make quick and timely judgements while taking into account all relevant factors are essential. Third, the ability to succeed at several activities.

The UPSC conducts an annual civil services examination in three stages: preliminary, main, and interview to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.

The UPSC CSE prelims were held on June 5, 2022, and the results were declared on June 22. A total of 11,35,697 people applied for this test, with 5,73,735 students actually appearing.
