New Delhi: At the 69th annual National Film Awards ceremony, the most outstanding works of Indian film from 2021 were honoured. On Tuesday, the prizes were handed out during the event at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu was the one who gave out the awards. The awardees, whose names were released in early September, were given awards by Droupadi Murmu. The event was broadcast live on the Press Information Bureau's various social media platforms. The National Awards have fallen behind schedule by a year because of the epidemic. Actors Allu Arjun (Pushpa: The Rise), Alia Bhatt (Gangubai Kathiawadi) and Kriti Sanon (Mimi) were recognised for their achievements in the category of Best Actor and Actress. Indian cinema's highest honour, the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, was presented to Waheeda Rehman. President Droupadi Murmu presented 69th National Film Awards in New Delhi. She also conferred Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2021 on Ms Waheeda Rehman. In recognition of its contribution to national harmony, The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, will receive the Nargis Dutt Award. The historical drama Sardar Udham, directed by Shoojit Sircar, was also a big winner. It was also awarded for its cinematography (Avik Mukhopadhyay), audiography (Sinoy Joseph), production design (Dmitrii Malich and Mansi Dhruv Mehta), and costume design (Veera Kapur Ee), in addition to Best Hindi Film.
